An Important Update
We are writing to you today with a heavy heart. Since 2021, the MoonBD team has proudly run this project without a single long-term shutdown. For five incredible years, this server has been a passion project fueled by our love for the game and this community.
Unfortunately, we have hit a crossroads where sustaining the server in its current state is no longer possible.
Why This Is Happening
Running a project of this scale requires two things: time and funding. Right now, we are critically short on both.
- Team Shortage: Recently, one of our Senior Developers had to leave the project to fulfill their mandatory military service. This has left us with only two active developers.
- Time Constraints: Because the server does not generate enough revenue to cover living expenses, I have to dedicate my time to client projects just to make a living. I simply cannot give MoonBD the time and attention it drastically needs.
- Rising Financial Costs: The server hosting and infrastructure costs are incredibly high. Without enough active funding, we cannot continue to pay these bills out of pocket.
The Final Outcome
As detailed in our previous update, the hosting bill was due on the 22nd of this month.
- The funding gap was not closed by the deadline.
- The server has been shut down.
If you want to reach out, you can still find us on Discord. We will keep our community channels open so members can connect and share memories. If circumstances change, we will post updates here.
A Heartfelt Thank You
Whether this is the end of the road or just a temporary pause, we want to say thank you. It has been an absolute blast running MoonBD since 2021. We have made unforgettable memories, built an incredible player base, and achieved things we never thought possible when we first launched.
